The Matrix Revolutions

SPOILER FREE COMMENTS So I saw THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS lastnight, and loved just about every minute of it. The film was definitely better than THE MATRIX RELOADED (which I enjoyed as well), and I think with some editing and pacing changes could have even been better than THE MATRIX. The combat was simply phenomenal--during the entire Zion attack sequence my heart was racing. And with regards to the Neo/Smith battle, I had said after RELOADED that the only way the brothers W could have topped the "hundred Smiths" battle was if there was some aerial combat. *Wow* did they not let me down there.

I really do not understand where these people posting bad reviews are drawing from. Did we even see the same film? I can concede that the pacing during the first 45 minutes or so was slow for a Matrix film, and probably would be even more so for someone who didn't absorb the ANIMATRIX short films or the additional story in ENTER THE MATRIX, which I think is probably the majority of viewers. In my opinion, like Ang Lee's THE HULK, the payoff for the slow build up was worth it.

Bank of America Photo Expressions

That's Nicole de Boer on my new Bank of America Visa Card! It sure beats the driver license-style photo of myself I currently have on the card. I hope they expand this feature to Check Cards as well, eventually. It's part of their new Photo Expressions feature, where you can upload a digital photo to have on your card. I hope whoever handles my card either doesn't know Nikki is an actress or doesn't care, as "photos of celebrities, athletes, musicians or public figures will not be accepted". Hope to have her in my wallet in one to two weeks!

Dark Age of Addictions

So I reactivated my Dark Age of Camelot account yesterday, and am having a lot of fun. I needed to take a break from Star Wars Galaxies until they add some new features in the next few months, and I'm not interested in Final Fantasy XI as long as Japanese and English speaking players are going to be playing on the same servers (I don't care how cool their translation/icon technology is). I haven't gotten the new Trials of Atlantis expansion yet because I need more RAM in my gaming computer (only 384MB!). I'm playing on the Kay server if anyone wants to reactivate their old accounts *cough* balatro *cough*.

The Big Cheez

Jolly Time The Big Cheez Popcorn

If you like cheese, if you like popcorn, and have a microwave, you must check out Jolly Time's new The Big Cheez microwave popcorn! Normally when it comes to microwave popcorn I prefer Orville Redenbacher's, but Orville only has a pour over cheese variation. I think Jolly Time's one step popcorn blows Orville away in taste. It is very cheesy. It can be a bit salty sometimes as well, no matter how much I shake the bag before serving. Jolly Time doesn't seem to offer 6- or 12- pack versions yet but you can get a 3-pack for MSRP US$1.99 (it's $1.79 at my neighborhood Publix). You just have to be attentive when stopping the microwave because it can scorch a lot faster than typical microwave popcorn.

I am addicted to this stuff. Anyone else tried it yet?

Zombie Fest?

Wouldn't it be cool if Sony released Resident Evil: Apocalypse the same weekend as Universal's Dawn of the Dead remake? Sony hasn't mentioned a release for that weeked yet (March 26th) but Warner Bros has Scooby-Doo 2 slated for that weeked as well. Screen Gems/Sony currently haven't announced any date at all for Resident Evil: Apocalypse yet, just that it's done filming. So maybe if they can finish visual effects and post production by March it could happen!
